The Secret To Not Being "Fake Rich" (How To Know What's Best For You, Solopreneur).
Have you ever heard of PostSecret?
People send their deepest secrets in on anonymous postcards, which are then posted on a blog. It's entertaining, eye-opening, touching, and it's helped many people feel less alone (it's even saved lives!).
Some PostSecrets:
“People think I've stopped lying…but I've just gotten better at it.”
“I slept with a member of my favorite band. It ruined the music for me.”
“I've stopped holding in my farts around her.”
“Harry Potter calms me down when I'm suicidal."
This one in particular made me laugh:
A barista wrote their “secret” on a Starbucks cup and sent it in the mail: “When customers are RUDE to me, I give them DECAF!”
I wonder how many people have gotten decaf without knowing it?
Speaking of wondering what's in your “cup”:
If part of you is intrigued by the Mighty Mastermind, but the skeptic in you wonders if it’s…BS, I understand.
You're smart to be skeptical:
A lot of coaches are full of crap (or rather, metaphorical decaf).
I've been coaching businesses for 7 years, and I've seen the field explode. There are a lot of business coaches out there, making big promises.
You've seen them, posing in front of private jets or infiniti pools they don't own, touting how they used to eat out of a dumpster but now they're having six-figure days (and so can you!).
(Seriously, I know a guy who rented a Ferrari and posed his family in front of a mansion that was actually a local museum, to convince psychotherapists he could help them be “rich like me").
Some pay to meet a celebrity entrepreur, then post a bunch of photos of “Me and my pal Richard Branson” or “Kickin' it with Tony [Robbins] at his private island”.
Now, here's the thing: many coaches are actually amazing, and live up to their promises (I'm happy to call some of them friends, but I don't want to be “name-dropper”-person here).
And some are just unique in their own way (i.e. their niche and/or their personality), and are a great fit for some, but not for others.
But in short:
It can be hard to know who to trust, or who’s the right fit.
This is one reason I do a 1-1 phone call with everyone who applies to join the Mighty Mastermind.
Before you invest in this experience, I want us both to feel confident that I'm a great fit for you as your coach, and that the Mastermind is the program that's truly going to help your business thrive.
I'm not going to pressure or cajole you if it doesn't feel like a great fit.
Not only because that's just not my style (I drive a jeep, not a rented Bentley), but because I'm creating an intentional, encouraging community with this cohort.
-It's vital that everyone who joins the Mighty Mastermind is able to support others, while getting the camaraderie and insight that will hold you to your vision and help you become the effective, confident solopreneur you want to be.
I want you to know that I'm not one of those coaches who buys a pre-written program, slaps their branding on it, and scales it aggressively to make as much profit as possible.
I would also never use this photo of me and my BFF Martin Sheen, who called me the "best business coach I've ever met" ** influence you:
I've been coaching solopreneurs for years, and it's been so gratifying to see the transformations that have happened.
From the overworked counselors who've cut off days of work without losing income (and having more family time),
To the skateboard park owner giving a safe sense of belonging to more and more of the “outsider kids,”
To the artists and designers realizing that the more they market their talent, the more they transform spaces--and lives--with the healing power of beauty.
To so many more talented solopreneurs who've just underestimated what's possible in their businesses until our work together.
Have more questions? Still skeptical? Want to know if I'm the right “coffee order” for you (I promise not to be secret-decaf)?
Write me back; let's discuss. And if you’re ready…
Don’t wait to apply. I have a few spaces left, but the deadline is this week (9/7).
Here's the link for details & application. I can't wait to hear from you.
