Last Things First.
Oh, the frenetic rush of changes and goals and habits in January.
Like I said in my last post, I love resolutions. I love the “new start” energy of January. Like many of you, I’ve jumped into the New Year full-force, like a racehorse just after the starting-gun goes off.
But here’s the question: Have you taken time to get crystal clear about the life you want to be living when your business is thriving?
Whether you have zero dollars in the bank, or a pretty good business chugging along, it’s still important to design your business around the life you want to live, and not the other way around.
Otherwise you’ll design a business that keeps your life feeling like a charging racehorse. And you might just get stuck going in circles.
And guess what? That gets tiring.
So take a few minutes to journal (or even just ask yourself):
*What do I want my schedule to look like each week?
*How much money do I want to make this year? What amount will allow me to live the lifestyle I want?
*What do I want it to feel like as I run my business and live my life?
Now, build your business around this future-life. As I’ve said, it helps to start with the end in mind. The starter-gun is energizing, but the finish line feels pretty dang good, too.
