A Cozy Business
The snow is going to start any minute.
As I write this, the sky is white, the radar indicates that the storm is already overhead, but the flakes haven't quite descended yet.
I'm at a cozy café in downtown Asheville, bundled up in my favorite cable-knit sweater, sipping hot coffee.
My plan was to write an energizing email to you about taking action on your 2025 intentions (you know, those reflections & insights from the Soulful Solopreneur Workbook).
But I'm also aware that we're deep into winter “hygge":
That is, the Danish concept of “coziness and contented mood, evoked by comfort and conviviality.”
I want to assure you that it's okay to move at a natural pace –and your pace may be slower right now.
(You can be intentional without frenetic activity, “crushing it”, or “moving fast and breaking things”).
Rather, I want to encourage calm, grounded, action toward your intentions.
This is a time to gently step back, consider what might get in the way of translating your vision into reality, and identify the simplest, clearest, easiest ways to actually make things happen for you and your business in 2025.
I hope you'll consider the energy you want to bring into this moment.
How can you be intentional with your goals/wants without burning yourself out early-on during the “hygge” season of winter?
I'd love to hear your thoughts. (And I’ll be offering some free events in the next few weeks to help you learn more about how).
–And now the first flakes have started coming down.
Time to go home, light the woodstove, and have a hygge-tasticweekend. I hope you'll embrace the cozy, too.
